Now Playing: ‘I’m not the president anymore’: Trump responds to the ‘fake news’ of his wiretapping claimThe Times of Indian, ‘I’ve been trying to get your attention for a long time.
You don’t want me to take my life in my hands.
I don’t know what you are doing, but if you don’t stop,’ Trump said on Twitter on Sunday.
The tweet came after CNN reported that the president had been under surveillance by US intelligence agencies for years.
Trump’s tweet came days after CNN revealed that Trump had been the target of surveillance by the FBI since last year, but had denied any involvement in the surveillance.
The president had previously said he would not “end” the surveillance, though he also claimed that he had no knowledge of any spying, including that of former national security adviser Michael Flynn.
“I’m a smart person.
I know how to get through these things.
I just want people to get better,” Trump said.CNN reported that Trump has also been under wiretapping by the US Department of Justice since last March.
The department said it is investigating the matter and that it has no evidence to support the allegations.
The CNN report cited “a senior US official” who said Trump’s wiretapping activities had been “a matter of national security concern”.
“The FBI and the Department of Homeland Security have made it clear that the scope and nature of these surveillance activities have crossed a line and are in violation of the US Constitution,” the official told CNN.
“They are also targeting individuals who pose a direct threat to national security.”
Trump has dismissed the CNN report, saying on Twitter that CNN is a “failing network” and that he has been “trying to help make our country great again” for decades.
Trump also tweeted a picture of himself in the Oval Office.
“The best thing about the CNN story is that it didn’t exist, it didn, in fact, exist and that I never made it,” he said.
