It’s a pretty safe bet that most of the original Star Wars trilogy will be included in the final film, which will be released Dec. 18.
But a few of the most beloved films in the franchise are also set to be featured.
Here’s a look at some of the big-screen surprises set to arrive in the new Star Wars movie.
The most anticipated film of 2017 will be the eighth installment in the Star Wars franchise, which has sold more than 3.7 billion tickets in its eight-year history.
But the franchise is in the midst of a major overhaul, with the original trilogy ending after a long battle between Darth Vader and Han Solo.
The new trilogy will bring back some of those key characters, including Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia Organa, Han Solo, and Leia Organas daughter, Princess Jyn Erso.
The film will also include a new villain named Darth Vader, a new character named Vader-turned-Skywalker, and new characters like bounty hunter Boba Fett and bounty hunter C-3PO.
The original trilogy will return to theaters in 2019 with a story by Lawrence Kasdan.
The latest trailer for The Last Luke, the new Luke Skywalker movie, released on Sunday, June 14, 2017, is a pretty exciting look at Luke Skywalker and his family.
The trailer introduces us to Luke’s father, C-2PO, and his younger sister, Leia, as well as new characters: Darth Vader-as-Darth Vader, Boba-Fett, C3PO, Poe Dameron, R2-D2, and R2.
The two films will be written and directed by Ben Burtt, who is producing the sequel with Gary Whitta.
The new Star War film will follow the events of the prequel trilogy.
That means we’ll get to see some of Han Solo’s past, and maybe even see some new characters we haven’t seen before.
The trailers for the new films will feature footage of the Battle of Endor, a pivotal scene in the original story.
(The film will have a special special effects shoot that will feature a new lightsaber in the hands of an old friend.)
Also in the trailer is footage of Rey and Kylo Ren, who will reunite in the film.
The last three films will focus on Rey’s quest to learn about the Force, and the third will feature Han Solo and Rey’s father as they travel through space.
The Force is a big part of the new film, but there’s also plenty of mystery surrounding its true nature.
The movie will also focus on Han Solo in his new role as an Imperial spy.
(He’s been a member of the Resistance for years now, but was first recruited by the Empire in the second film.)
The movie’s director is Rian Johnson, who’s also produced the Star Trek: Into Darkness and the new Transformers movies.
Johnson, who won an Academy Award for best original screenplay for Star Wars: Episode VII: The Final Frontier, said he had to write a lot of the story for The Force and the Star in order to make it all work.
“There was a lot going on behind the scenes,” he told EW.
“It was very hard to make a movie where you were able to walk away from it without getting in trouble with Disney.
I had to have a good grounding in the universe.”
The new film will be directed by Johnson, based on his story for the novel The Force Unleashed.
Johnson also penned the screenplay for The Lost Boys, and he is the co-writer and producer of the upcoming sequel to Star Wars Rogue One.
Johnson also recently revealed that the next Star Wars film will focus more on the “dark side,” and will be about a “brave new breed of hero.”
That means the film will probably be more dark and gritty than the original films, but that doesn’t mean the new trilogy won’t be filled with good old-fashioned action.
Johnson said that the film would have “a dark tone” and “big bad.”
Johnson also said that there will be a new hero to join Rey, as she “wants to go out there and take on the Empire.”
The last trailer for the film, released in March, showed a glimpse at the new character Rey.
The scene was shot in the Death Star facility in the desert.
She’s seen using the Force to fight off a stormtrooper, and then gets captured by the Emperor.
It’s the first time Rey is seen using any of the classic Jedi arts, and she’s seen in a lot more action scenes, including the Battle at the Battlefront.
The Force Unleashed is set for release in 2019.
