With the upcoming release of the new 2017 WRX and STI, the Subaru brand is expected to focus on some pretty big things, with the new SUV and wagon set to go into production this year.
The Subaru brand has already confirmed it will continue to make the STI and WRX with more models coming, but we still don’t have a definite date for when the brand might release its next model.
Subaru recently announced the upcoming Subaru BRZ, but it’s unclear when we can expect to see the new BRZ at a showroom.
The brand is also expected to introduce a new subcompact model at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2020, but this isn’t confirmed just yet.
The 2017 WRT is set to be released later this year, and the WRX is set for a mid-2020 release.
The new STI will likely come out in 2021, with some models slated for a fall launch in 2022.
Subaru is currently in a bit of a slump right now, with sales falling by over 5% last year.
There’s a lot of speculation going on about what’s next in the Subaru product line, and that could be why we don’t know a definitive date.
Subaru has yet to reveal a new STi or WRX for 2019, and we haven’t seen any of the upcoming models since we reported on the new ST.
